Toddler Talk

Today I had to explain to my brothers that girls do not have pee-pees only boys do. And that girls do not grow them later on in life. I was going to tell them that girls can pay to get pee-pees later in life, but I figured that would be too much for their 4 and 5 year old minds.

Later Berg saw me putting on lip gloss and for some reason that was hysterical. He proceeded to tell me that boys cannot wear make up unless it’s blue…I truly hope he figures that out before puberty. Talking to children not only causes mental exhaustion, but it makes me want to hold onto my eggs forever…I’m really going to need Vin Diesel to be a stay at home dad.

Also, it seems as though the state of Massachusetts has gotten a bit more lenient with the legal age to get a license because both of my brothers are under the impression that they’re getting theirs tomorrow.

Immature Wine & Cheese Party

Since we’re adults and stuff we decided to have a dinner party at Derek’s place. In attendance Derek (duh!), Kelly, Monica and myself (another duh!)…later we were joined by Zach (one of Derek’s 17 roomies), which resulted in more wine. Monica and Kelly brought beer, wine, cheese, strawberries, poached pears, some awesome homemade caramel and homemade whip cream (seen whipped by Monica) and I brought homemade Papa John’s :-) We were stuffed and intoxicated, but no one was as inebriated as Monica…hence why she is seeking shelter and warmth under the Express.
I’m happy, yet sad, because Derek and Kelly are moving to start school in the fall in Alabama and New York, respectively. The bright side is that we’re going to have a mega bash in July or August to send them off. I guess we’ll have to have as many wine & cheese parties as we can before they peace out.
